Excellent stuff Matt. I love the arrangement of your work in the space. I think the tight gathering of the pieces was a great choice.

Congratulations! I'm glad the opening was a big success.

I'll be heading to the link soon. I was really blown away by how everything was arranged. I think it is one of the best layouts I have seen at a show.

How did the small talk go? I never liked the chatting with people at shows, often times there was a little too much pretension for my taste. The last show I was in I couldn't stay for the show, so I missed all of it.

there was no small talk really. i had between 60 and 90 seconds with any given person. people came in waves. we estimate over 400 people rolled through in a 4 hour time period. i was lucky not to talk to someone i didn't want to for very long, but unlucky that i didn't get to talk to people i wanted to either. i had to spend some time signing books, zines , and skateboard decks. i also had some interviews. it was exhausting cuz i didn't eat anything all day before cuz of nerves. i had a dream the night before where no one showed up for the show.

400 people in for hours?!? DUDE! That is pretty amazing. Did you sell many pieces? And for the record, you can't afford to go a day without eating, eat something next time because you had nothing to be nervous about. Also, remind me not to ask you for lottery numbers because your prediction skills kind of suck. Dream that no one showed up.
