my good friend Dustin just finished this profile on my art. it's a couple years in the making. he did a bang up great job, and features killer music composed for the project by Mnaut. check this out:

Fantastic vid! It looks very professional! I also find it nice too because it gives just enough information to think "WOW" and it's not so drawn out that the audience thinks "we've seen that already, we get it".

thanks. it's weird how my attitude about my art changes over time. when i was younger i think i would have had different things to say. always love making it though...

No matter how much i see your art, i keep liking it more and more.
And even more now after watching this little insight to your work process and "creativity" place, so to speak.

i just watched it and then watched it again with my son. Everything about your work is so fresh and unique. It was really inspiring to hear you say that you just make the things that YOU want and let your ideas take control. I also really admire that you don't box yourself into one particular style, Every piece I saw in that video was fantastic ,thank you so much for sharing. I think that your friend did a wonderful job on this film but I think you are wrong about saying (he made you look like a better artist than you really are)Your work IS Amazing and you have inspired me to go get in my own studio and get to work .~L :)

you left a wonderful comment. thank you. i wanted to post this as much for self promotion as for pride in the effort of my friend dustin, who shot and edited it. it is a pleasure to know you shared this with your son. thanks again for your kind words.

Echoing all the other comments -- that was so freaking cool! :D Totally love watching these kinda artist-profile stuff. (Whether videos/articles/interviews, etc.) I'm not sure I've seen those boxes before; they're adorable! :XD:

And I admire the crazy-load of mediums you work with. It's ... your style, in different worlds. :)

that is too cool.

seeing all your art together is INSANE. hopefully someday soon i'll go back to visit the west coast and see some of your stuff live.

btw, i have to disagree with your "color clashing"... ALL your colors work :D or at least i think so... and i  color.

i am always in awe... and utterly jealous *wishes i had more time for art :(*

keep up the good art! and props to your friend, great vid!

if you are ever in this area i'll let you know about any show that's up. and if there isn't one, than my house is like a gallery (except that film was shot so long ago there is almost all new work up now...)

WOW and i do mean wow that is really cool seeing so much of the work that you have done and not posted, and seeing just how many mediums you work in is really a testament to how well defined you have made your style.and about the whole "epic" idea you talked about i would say you have come pretty close to it in your own way because of how i said you can work in so many medias yet keep your style the same in all of them. well congrats and keep up the great work.

i'm glad you checked this out. it's kinda weird to see someone that you only write to huh? anyways, that is an interesting observation about the "epic" comment. i never thought about it like that. i often sell myself short. thanks for watching and writing back.

yeah your right about the whole seeing the person being a bit odd. But i really do believe what i said about the epic thing is quite true i mean look at it from a music perspective you said that was big to you, but in music a composer group whatever is not just judged by a single one hit wonder but by there work as a collective whole, that is how i look at it when it comes to artists especially ones on here because you can see them beyond there over hyped one hit wonder... sry whent a bit over board there hehe

Kick ASS!

Excellent video. It was so cool to see so much of your work. I love that your house is decorated with so much of your art. I was also impressed by your work space and how neat it is. I wasn't surprised given how clean your work is, but I always find it interesting how our lives impact our art.

I totally identify with your comments on getting lost in the work. I can easily work for 12-18 hours without blinking and forget everything but my art.

Again, great video, I'm really glad you posted it.

you are one of the people on deviant i wanted to see this the most. thanks for checking it out.

my house is even more ridiculous now. a lot of that footage is years old. noticed that in some scenes i didn't have my right sleeve yet?? and i've had that sleeve for 2 years now.

yeah, my space is clean, but i feel it has a lot to do with how small my space is. believe me, it piles up. especially when i'm getting close to a new show!

i get into that lost space a few times a day. it will allow me to have a longer life in the long run. it's hard to try to explain that on video when you are an inarticulate marble mouthed ass.

thanks for your comments as always :)

You know, I did notice the lack of tattoos and thought, aren't both of his arms full? The time skip explains it.

I was really impressed by the big piece of what I think is you holding your son. It looks like a great piece.

My space is pretty clean too. I think it goes hand-in-hand with liking precision in my work. I can only imagine how your work piles up given how prolific you are.

I don't get into the space as often as I would like, but try to get there at least a few times a week. I'm taking a class this spring (hot glass) which I hope will get me there more regularly.

I think you did a great job of explaining your point of view. Either that or I'm fluent in marble mouth. I understood it and identify with most of it. The extended times to think and how creation off sets that; the art for fun and challenge vs. academic or self promotion "success"; and the constant shifting of focus in different mediums.

Oh, and I don't think I mentioned it before, but the music in the video was great.
